Kovara Projects Racing take Double GP2 Podium at the first race of the season Silverstone

Friday started off well with Kyle (77) and Jake (47) both getting plenty of lap time in on sunny practice 1 and 2. 11.30am Saturday morning saw qualifying where Kyle finished P1 in the GP2 class and .200 of a second behind the Supersport P1, meaning P3 overall and a front row start for Saturdays 18 lap Sprint Race with Jake finishing P7 in the GP2 class for his first qualifying session on a GP2 bike.  Saturday evenings Sprint Race saw Kyle holding onto P1 in the GP2 class and Jake crossing the line in P5 GP2.

Following Sunday mornings warm up came the 26 lap race 2 with Kyle starting 5th overall where he fought back to take P3 overall and P1 in GP2 and stood in 1st place on the podium for the second time that weekend.

Overall it was a great first race weekend for the Kovara Projects team with Kyle storming in showing his experience and Jake gaining some valuable track time and progressing well on his new GP2 bike.

Time to pack up and prepare for  Oulton Park on the 4th May.
