This weekends race came all to familiar to Kyle (77) on his favorite home track where he showed great pace through both Friday’s Practice sessions and Qualifying.

Saturday’s Sprint Race had Kyle Starting P1 in class (P4 overall) and Jake P7 in class (P25 overall).

As the lights went out Kyle made up 2 places by the time he’d exited the 1st corner, already in pursuit of overall 1st place. Dropping back slightly as the race progressed Kyle found his feet in the last 7 laps to overtake 40 year old Alastair Seely on his top spec Supersport Yamaha R6 for 1st place overall. The next few laps saw them tussling for P1 overall, although they would both finish P1 retrospectively in their classes with maximum points, Kyle was determined to take the overall win at his home race. Unfortunately he couldn’t hold off the 30BHP advantage of Alastair’s Supersport R6 and yielded on the last lap to finish P1 in Class and P2 0verall (0.097 seconds behind the front Supersport bike) and Jake making good progress finish P4 in class.

Sunday’s Feature Race had Kyle starting in prime P1 overall due to his lap time earlier in the weekend but saw him drop back in the damp conditions due to a tyre pressure issues generating unwanted heat and degredation, to finish P1 in class, P4 overall and Jake putting in another solid ride to finish P4 in class, P15 overall.
